Maxwell Pendy of the Bonnyville Pontiacs has been selected as the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for a second consecutive week. The AJHL leading scorer and Princeton University commit extended his 10-game point streak with nine points (2G, 7A) in two wins for the Pontiacs.
Pendy (2006) scored a goal and three assists in Camrose on November 21st to defeat the Kodiaks 6-3. In the second game of the home and home series, he scored a goal and added four assists to win 6-5 the next night. With 45 points (15G, 30A) in 21 games, Maxwell Pendy leads the AJHL and is currently riding a 10-game point streak totaling 29 points.
Pontiacs teammate Evan Schulha is the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week for November 17th-23rd, 2025. The 2007-born defenceman picked up three points in the Pontiacs weekend victories. Schulha (St Albert, AB) is tied for second among AJHL rookie defencemen with 11 points in 16 regular season games.
The Bonnyville Pontiacs are 8-2-0 in their last ten games and sit fourth in the Bunge AJHL North Division entering the final week of November 2025.
The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week is Canmore Eagles goaltender Alex Scheiwiller. The AJHL veteran was twice named as the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game last week after two impressive performances and 67 saves in road games through the Bunge AJHL North Division.
Scheiwiller (Calgary, AB) made 31 saves in a 2-1 loss to the Grande Prairie Storm on November 21st then allowed just one goal against in a 4-1 win over the division leading Whitecourt Wolverines on November 22nd. Alex is in the Top 5 of AJHL goaltenders with a .917 save percentage and 2.94 GAA. The Canmore Eagles have allowed the fewest goals against in the Bunge AJHL South Division and are second in the divisional standings behind the Camrose Kodiaks.
