Chad joined the Bonnyville Pontiacs organization for the 2024–2025 season, taking on a dual role as assistant coach with the Pontiacs and head coach of the newly established U13AAA Bonnyville Yaks program.
He is excited to return for his second season behind both benches, bringing passion, experience, and leadership to the organization.
Before joining the Pontiacs, Chad served as the head coach of the U18AAA Yellowhead Chiefs near his hometown of Newdale, Manitoba.
His coaching journey follows a successful playing career with the St. James Canadians in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL), where he was a two-time league champion and an MJHL All-Star. In his final season, Chad helped lead the team to the league finals and finished in the top 10 in scoring.
Chad now calls Bonnyville home, where he lives with his partner Jen, their two cats, and their energetic dog, Keven—who keeps the household lively and enjoys visits to the local dog park.
Chad also has two children, Alyssa (22) and Ashtyn (20), who remain in Manitoba. He is deeply grateful for the unwavering support of Jen and his kids as he continues to pursue his passion for coaching full-time.
