Lucas ISLEY Joins Coaching Staff

The Bonnyville PONTIACS are pleased to announce that Lucas ISLEY will join their staff as an assistant coach for the 2014/15 season.


Lucas, who is originally from Bonnyville, played five seasons for the PONTIACS scoring 163 points and 283 penalty minutes. The former PONTIAC captain received a scholarship to Western Michigan University while in the A.J.H.L. and also played for the University of Regina in the C.I.S.


Head Coach and General Manager Rick SWAN says “I am excited that Lucas is joining our coaching staff. He played the game with so much grit and compete. He was a great leader who left everything on the ice and is a character individual who will be a tremendous asset in the development of our players and will work with our forwards and center men. Along with Mark JENSEN and Larry DRAPER, Lucas brings a great deal of enthusiasm and playing experience in a hockey operations role which will be a tremendous benefit to our players.”


Lucas is the proud owner of Rapid Response EMT Services Ltd. and resides in Bonnyville with his wife Stefany.
