PONTIAC Jackson DUDLEY Commits to NCAA Division 1 A.I.C.

Bonnyville PONTIAC forward Jackson DUDLEY has committed to join the American International Yellow Jackets for the 2014/15 season. The Yellow Jackets play at the Olympia Ice Center in Springfield, Massachusetts and are a member of the Division 1 Atlantic Hockey Association competing against teams like R.I.T., Sacred Heart, Robert Morris and Holy Cross. 


Last season Jackson had 51 points (21 goals and 30 assists) in 51 games. He played a total of 180 games from 2011 to 2014 for the PONTIACS, winning the team’s Most Gentlemanly Award in 2011/12 and 2012/13 and the President’s Award in 2013/14.


Head Coach and General Manager Rick SWAN says that “Jackson’s development from the start of the season has been tremendous. Jackson plays the game the right way: fast, deceptive, disciplined to structure and with a high compete level. He is a complete 200 foot player and he shoots at a “pro-level” with a tremendous release. Being on the ice with him every day you easily become a fan of his high end skills and outstanding character.”  


“American International is getting a very fast, proven goal scorer with an extremely high compete level and leadership traits. Jackson is a 'top drawer' individual who deserses this opportunity to play Division 1 and I couldn't be happier for him.”


The Bonnyville PONTIACS organization, our community and our fans wish Jackson all the very best in both his academic and hockey endeavors and congratulate him on his commitment to the N.C.A.A. Division 1 American International which is a testament to his work on the ice and in the classroom as well.


Jackson DUDLEY becomes the ninth Bonnyville PONTIAC player committed to College this season joining Dan WEDMAN – Cornell/ECAC Division 1, Spencer FOO – Union/ECAC Division 1, Mike IOVANNA – U Mass/Hockey East Division 1 and Sean MOSTROM – Denver/NCHA Division 1, Stephen KLEIN – Middlebury College/N.E.S.C.A.C Division 3, Redford SWAN – N.A.I.T. /A.C.A.C., Locke MULLER – N.A.I.T. /A.C.A.C. and T.J. CUNNINGHAM – S.A.I.T./A.C.A.C.. Max GOTTLIEB will be playing for the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the U.S.H.L. jumping the total to 10 players moving on to the next level from the PONTIACS.
