The Unplugged Family Literacy Event is put on by the Bonnyville Community Learning Council and the Bonnyville Municipal Library, and this year was held at Duclos Elementary School. It is an evening to “unplug from technology and plug into family literacy”. The evening was spent listening to stories, engaging in fun activities and games -with help from the Jr. A Pontiac players, and capped off with a “book walk” game that let every family go home with a prize. Prizes were generously donated by the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs, the Bonnyville Community Learning Council, the town of Bonnyville and the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre. It was an evening of laughter and literacy for all who attended.
