Hockey can be a hard fought battle but it is nothing compared to what 15 month old Ariel BROWATZKE is faced with.
“Our 1 year old daughter Ariel was diagnosed with Stage 3 liver cancer very unexpectedly mid July 2013. The tumor covered too much of her liver to remove surgically. As a result, Ariel started chemotherapy the same week we received her diagnosis.
Since then, the tumor has shrunk to half it's original size. Based on her bodies response so far, her surgeon expects the tumor to shrink again, if not disappear completely with further treatment, and so we continue to make weekly trips to Edmonton.
We are overwhelmed by the communities support. We are hopeful for her full recovery and are making a book for Ariel to grasp her journey and the community she is a part of.”
