On Saturday November 16th the Bonnyville PONTIACS helped promote KidSport. The mission of KidSport is that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSport provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport.
KidSport chapters across Alberta have helped 55,478 children and youth get into organized sport programs since the launch of the program in 1995. In total, local KidSport chapters have distributed over $10 million dollars in grants and equipment.
The PONTIACS hosted a free BBQ lunch and invited boys and girls in the community of Bonnyville for a good old fashion road hockey game at the R.J. LaLonde Arena. Great fun was had by all.
