Forward Trey Thomas of the Bonnyville Pontiacs is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week after collecting 8 points (4G, 4A) in three games from November 19th-25th. Thomas and the Pontiacs earned three consecutive wins over the week and re-claimed top spot in the AJHL North Division Standings.
Trey Thomas, 19, from Williams Lake, British Columbia enjoyed his first two-goal game of the season on Tuesday, November 20th in a 6-1 win over the Camrose Kodiaks. Thomas scored the game winner and added two assists in the win. On Friday night, he added another goal for the Pontiacs and 2 assists, including an assist on the game winner, in a 5-1 victory against the Sherwood Park Crusaders. The Pontiacs concluded the week with a 4-1 defeat of the Lloydminster Bobcats and Thomas scoring his ninth goal of the season with an unassisted goal.
