The Bonnyville PONTIACS players attended the Remembrance Day Tribute at the C2 Center yesterday in Bonnyville. It was a pleasure to honor the “brave people who courageously serve and served our country – fathers and husbands, sisters and brothers and sons and daughters who gave their lives to protect our peace and defend our liberty” by ensuring that democracy would live for future generations.
We shall never forget the 66,000 Canadians killed and 173,000 wounded in First World War and the 45,000 killed and 55,000 wounded in the Second World War, those who died in the Korean War and the 158 who died in Afghanistan.
