The Bonnyville Pontiacs are excited to announce Aidan Wilson has signed with the team for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
"I learned the Pontiacs are a great fit for me after I spoke with Chad Nelson [Pontiacs general manager]," said Aidan Wilson. "He gave me the rundown of the whole program and as he kept explaining, the entire situation seemed like a great fit, and I am beyond excited for this upcoming season.
"Fans can expect a playmaker ready to make big plays and create opportunities throughout the season. I would also like to take this time to give a special thanks to my family for getting me to this point in my life."
Wilson is coming off a strong rookie season with the U18 AAA New Jersey Rockets, where the 5'9, 161lbs Wilson produced 21 goals and 39 assists for a total of 60 points in 89 games played.
"I'm most excited about moving to Bonnyville and experiencing a different culture from what Iām used to," said Wilson. "I'm eager to get on the ice and meet my new teammates and experience hockey in Canada."
Three words that the Westfield, NJ, USA native likes to live by are, "Driven, determined and fun", revealing the 18-year-old Wilson's have fun while putting in the work mentality. This will be the young forwards first time playing hockey in Canada as well as the AJHL.
The Bonnyville Pontiacs are excited to welcome Aidan and the Wilson family into the organization.
