A Trio of PONTIACS Nominated for AJHL Awards

Second year defenseman Ryan BLACK is nominated for the AJHL Most Outstanding Defenseman – W.G. (Bill) SCOTT Memorial Trophy. Ryan is a leader on and off the ice and this year has 36 points in 49 games, second among all AJHL defensemen. Ryan also plays in every situation and has received the AJHL Player of the week earlier this year. Ryan will be attending Northern Michigan University next season to play for the NCAA Division 1 WILDCATS.

17 year old defenseman and Bonnyville home town local Brinson PASICHNUK is nominated for the AJHL Most Outstanding Rookie (Dick WHYTE Trophy). Brinson plays in every situation and has had an outstanding season and has 8 goals and 21 assists for 29 points which is second among first year defensemen in the AJHL.

Head Coach and General Manager Rick SWAN is nominated for the AJHL Coach of the Year guiding the PONTIACS, along with Associate Coach Larry DRAPER, so far, to a 27-19-10 record, currently 3rd place in the North Division and 2 points behind the Lloydminster BOBCATS for second place.
