Brinson Named Alberta Ford Dealers Player of the Month

The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for October 2015 is Brinson PASICHNUK of the Bonnyville PONTIACS.  The 17 year-old defenseman scored 21 points (7G, 14A) in 12 games through October and leads all AJHL Defensemen in scoring.

Brinson PASICHNUK is 2nd overall in the AJHL scoring race with 28 points, behind teammate Bobby McMANN, and is averaging 1.3 points per game.   He has recorded 2 game winning goals and earned the Viterra AJHL Player of the Game Award three times in October.  He was also selected as the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the week of October 12th – 18th, 2015.

“What people focus on with Brinson's game is his offensive statistics however it is important to recognize that he plays the game 'the right way' and plays in all key defensive situations. He also has played a key role as a leader with captain Steenn PASICHNUK, Bobby McMANN, Erik DONALD, Alden DUPUIS and Ryan SYMINGTON along with our veteran players. The honor is well deserved and we only expect him to be better as the season progresses,” said Head Coach and General Manager Rick SWAN.

PASICHNUK (Bonnyville, AB) has committed to Vermont of the NCAA Division I.  He is currently in his second full season with his hometown PONTIACS.

The Bonnyville PONTIACS are 7-2-1 in the last 10 games and hold currently 3rd place in the Viterra AJHL North Division standings.
