Chad Carder

Having just joined the organization prior to the start of the 2024-2025 season, Chad Carder will be beginning his second year as the Pontiacs goalie coach and assistant coach. Prior to the Pontiacs, Carder was the goalie and skills coach of the West Kelowna Warriors for 12 seasons, including a National Championship in 2016.

Coach Carder has also spent time as the goalie coach for fellow AJHL team the Camrose Kodiaks from 2011 – 2014 and was the head coach of the OKHC Warriors U18 team. His first and only tenure as a U-18 head coach resulting in a league Championship in 23/24.

Growing up playing minor hockey in Calgary, AB, Carder played four years of juniors in the AJHL, winning Goalie of the Year in 2008-2009 as well as a league Championship with the Grande Prarie Storm that same season.
