Derek BROWN Named Canalta AJHL Player of the Week

Bonnyville Pontiacs forward, Derek Brown, is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the week of October 10th – 16th, 2016.  Brown scored 4 goals and 5 assists in 3 games and extended his ongoing point streak to 5 games and 11 points.

Derek Brown was the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game in an 8-6 win over the Lloydminster Bobcats on October 12th when he recorded 1 goal and 3 assists.  The 19 year-old from Edmonton, AB leads the Pontiacs in scoring with 18 points (5G, 13A) and a 1.5 points per game, and is currently 4th in the AJHL Scoring Race.

Brown and the Pontiacs are riding a five game win streak, tied with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, who also continue to climb with a 7 game win streak.

The Bonnyville PONTIACS are currently ranked 14th on the CJHL National Rankimngs.
