Michael Menzies has been the play-by-play voice of the Bonnyville Pontiacs since 2019-20. Born and raised in Vermilion, Alberta, he also works as the Editor-at-Large of Connected Media Inc. based in Bonnyville, doing news, live videos, and a morning show called ‘Connected!’
Menzies is passionate about the game of hockey and through his work being the trusted voice of the Yaks, got the opportunity to broadcast the 2023 World Junior A Challenge in Truro, Nova Scotia. He is a graduate of the NAIT Radio & Television program. In his spare time, he buys books — even reads some of them — while collecting vinyl and stomach issues.
