PONTIACS Honor MCMANN, PASICHNUK and NARDI Before the Game

In our first home game of 2016 the Bonnyville PONTIACS took a moment to honor the accomplishments of Bobby McMANN, Brinson PASICHNUK and Joseph NARDI.

From December 13-19, 2015, the best Junior 'A' hockey players in the world gathered in Cobourg, Ontario to compete for the World Junior A Challenge. Two Bonnyville Pontiacs were chosen for Team Canada West and in the Gold Medal Final against the Russian National Junior 'A' team it was our own Bobby McMann who would give Canada a lead early in the third period. McMANN would finish the tournament with 3 goals and 5 points, but none were bigger than his goal against the Russians in the gold medal game.

PONTIAC defenceman Brinson PASICHNUK logged big minutes and combined his offensive ability with strong defensive play to help Team Canada West win gold for the first time in four years at the event.

With that being said, there is one other player for the Whitecourt Wolverines who deserves recognition as well. Joseph Nardi also played a key part for Team Canada West in their gold medal success

On behalf of the Bonnyville PONTIACS organization the three Team Canada West Gold Medalists were provided a framed print to acknowledge their contributions in this year's World Junior 'A' Challenge Championship.
