Brinson Pasichnuk was named to the 2019 Midwest Regional All-Tournament Team

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Sun Devil Hockey junior defenseman and co-captain Brinson Pasichnuk (former Bonnyville PONTIAC) was named to the 2019 Midwest Regional All-Tournament Team, which was decided by members of the media at the Allentown Regional.

Pasichnuk netted the Sun Devils’ first-ever tournament goal on Saturday night against No. 2 seed Quinnipiac with eight minutes left in regulation, giving ASU a chance to tie it late in the contest. In the waning minutes, the junior nearly tied it with another blast from the top of the slot, but the Bobcats would hold on for the 2-1 victory.

Pasichnuk, who finished among the top defensemen in the country in plus-minus, goals scored and points, was one of two defenseman named to the all-tournament team. He joined Minnesota Duluth blue liner Scott Perunovich as the only two.

With the goal on Saturday night, Pasichnuk hit the 30-point mark (13g-17a), which just so happened to also be his 100th game as a Sun Devil. Both marks make for the first ASU defenseman to hit those respective marks.
