Congratulations to Cam NEWTON on his NCAA Commitment to Tufts University Jumbos

The Bonnyville PONTIACS are extremely pleased to announce that defenseman Cam NEWTON has committed to the Tufts University Jumbos. NEWTON came to the PONTIACS from the prestigious Detroit Victory Honda program coached by Bryan BURKE who has moved many of his players on to success in juniors, college and professional.

?Cam is a first rate human and made a tremendous impact in our community. On the ice Cam is a well-rounded defenseman who shows up and puts in the work every single day – he is coachable, committed and plays the game the right way. We couldn’t be more excited to see him get an opportunity at the next level and Tufts University is bringing in a culture enhancer that will positively impact their line-up” says Head Coach and General Manager Rick SWAN.

The Dexter, Michigan native played 43 games registering 3 goals and 4 assists.

?I am really excited to start the next chapter of my life and none of this would be possible with out the support of my family, my teammates and my coaches. I loved my time in Bonnyville and I became a better player and a better person. This was the closet team imaginable and the I learned so much. Bonnyville is a great place to play and develop,” says NEWTON.

The Bonnyville PONTIACS, our fans and our community would like to congratulate Cam and his family on his exciting achievement.
