The Bonnyville PONTIACS would like to welcome Karyn FANSTONE to the PONTIAC Family.
Karyn FANSTONE has been hired as the new Bonnyville PONTIACS Athletic Therapist / Equipment Manager to replace Tara COOK who is moving to Ontario.
“Tara did such an outstanding job and we knew that her standard of excellence would be very difficult to replace. There were over 15 quality applications that showed interest in the vacancy, all who had excellent credentials,” said Head Coach and General Manager Rick SWAN.
After going through the interview process and obtaining input from references, the Bonnyville PONTIACS are pleased to announce that Karyn FANSTONE will become the newest member of the PONTIAC Family.
“Karyn has current experience in the Alberta Junior Hockey League after spending the past two seasons with the Drayton Valley Thunder and has shown great initiative with Hockey Alberta's Program of Excellence Alberta Cup and Under 16 Western Challenge Cup. She has also participated in the Winnipeg JETS and the New York RANGERS Internship Program and is a Certified Athletic Therapist with a Bachelor's of Kinesiology Degree from the University of Manitoba. Having Karyn step in to our program allows for a very minimal transition phase as she knows the league and knows what is expected of the position,” says SWAN.
Although there were some excellent people we believe that Karyn is the right person to replace Tara, especially after speaking with her references.
Karyn will start her duties with the PONTIACS just prior to August and will be a member of Team Alberta's Staff at the 2016 Western Challenge Cup in October of this year.
