PONTIACS Take Part in Family Literacy Awareness

PONTIACS Steenn and Brinson PASICHNUK, Ryan SYMINGTON, Alden DUPUIS and Bobby McMANN were on hand at Notre Dame School to help raise awareness for Family Literacy.

The Family Literacy Event in Bonnyville is a national awareness initiative held annually to raise awareness of the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family.

Taking time every day to read or do a learning activity with children is crucial to a child’s development. Even just 15 minutes a day can improve a child’s literacy skills dramatically, and can help a parent improve their skills as well.

Family Pass Tickets were given out to a number of the families that participated.

Proud to be a part of this worthy importance.

Hi Rick,

A sincere thank-you for sending us the Jr. A. Playing Pictionary with the Pontiac players, was a blast!

Not sure who had more fun, the kids, or the Pontiacs?  Reading Theatre with Mayor Gene Sobolewski and former MLA Genia Leskiw, along with the Pontiacs line-up was definely entertaining, highlighted with so much laughter.  A Robert Munsch classic hockey story (Just One Goal!)for the audience to enjoy.  Autograph signing was highly anticipated and well received by attendees.

The winners of the Pontiac Family Game Passes were extremely pleased and looking forward to attending the upcoming games.  Thank-you for this added prize give away bonus to promote family time, and again for your continued support with literacy and lifelong learning.
