REGISTER Named to 2014 All-ECHL First Team.

The Ontario Reign, four-time Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, announced that current Reign and former Bonnyville PONTIAC defenseman Matt REGISTER has been named to the 2014 All-ECHL First Team.

REGISTER, 24, was second among all ECHL defensemen with 44 points (14g, 30a). Three of those points were game-winning goals for the Reign, putting Register in a tie for fifth among defensemen in that category. The 6-foot-2 blue liner led the Reign with a +22 through 66 games played.

This is REGISTER's second season with the Reign. The Calgary, Alberta native joined the team last season to finish his rookie campaign. He earned 13 points (4g, 9a) in 17 regular season games, and three assists in in 10 playoff games.

Matt REGISTER played 166 games for the Bonnyville PONTIACS scoring 30 goals and 62 assists for 92 point between 2006 and 2010. He was named the AJHL Top Defenseman in the 2009/10 season.
