The Pontiacs are pleased to announce that Bonnyville local Austin Wentz has signed with the team for the upcoming year.
"To play for Bonnyville in my hometown was always the goal from a young age," said Austin Wentz. "Growing up, I would always come out to games in hopes that one day I'd be one of the guys on that ice."
The 18 year old Wentz played his first season in the AJHL last year logging 50 games played with the Devon Extreme.
"With hockey, you never know where it's going to take you and it finally brought me here," said Wentz. "I'm excited and eager to begin the season and I'm determined to be at my best for my hometown."
Austin Wentz and the Bonnyville Pontiacs season will kickoff on September 19th, 2025 at 7:00pm in the RJ Lalonde Arena. Discounted tickets for the home opener are available on tickets.bonnyvillepontiacs.ca.
The teams home opener will also include a BBQ tailgate starting at 5:00pm.
The Bonnyville Pontiacs are excited to welcome Austin and the Wentz family into the organization.
