Now Hiring: Office Manager

The Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs are looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of Office Manager and Bookkeeper. The Pontiacs have been a member of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for the past 34 seasons. This is a fast-paced work environment that encourages equal opportunity and is teamwork oriented. The successful applicant will report to the VP of Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Office Manager and Bookkeeper is an integral position in the Pontiacs organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • General office duties and customer service
  • Manage online ticketing system
  • Lead role in all bookkeeping and accounting using Sage Software
  • Manage organizations payroll and filings
  • Responsible for all accounts payable and receivable
  • Lead roll in all the organizations banking and deposits
  • Administrational duties required for camps, events and function
  • Assist in attracting and coordinating volunteers
  • Help create and run fundraising initiatives (Billet nights, golf tournaments, fishing derby’s etc.)
  • Manage all dealings with AGLC and other governing bodies
  • Support the VP of Operations with administration tasks
  • Promoting the organization in a positive manner
  • Monday to Friday with occasional evening or weekend for special events
  • Other miscellaneous duties

Qualifications

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge with Sage accounting

  • Verbal and written communication skills
