Lucas THORNE Named to the Viterra North Division All-Rookie Team

The Alberta Junior Hockey League today announced the 2017-2018 Viterra All-Rookie teams as selected by the General Managers and Coaches of the AJHL.

Congratulations to our top scorer Lucas THORNE. THORNE who is from Dunville, Ontario played at St. Andrews College in Aurora for Coach David MANNING. Coach Manning has a same mindset philosophy as we do in Bonnyville where good character, good leadership qualities and commitment to being a great citizen are traits that reflect what their program represents. Lucas came as advertised from Coach MANNING and he played in all 60 games for the PONTIACS this season and lead the team in scoring. Lucas is a committed player who comes to the rink everyday to get better. He is a great teammate and his goal is to play Divsion 1 hockey. His future is bright and judging his first season as a Junior 'A' player, the PONTIACS are optimistic that his sophomore season will take the next step to achieving his goal. Lucas THORNE is the second forward (4th player) in consecutive years to be selected to the AJHL All-Rookie North Team. Isaac SANIGA was named to the team in 2016/17.
