The Bonnyville Pontiacs have acquired Cash Ganske from the Grande Prairie Storm in completion of the January 8th, 2025 trade, that saw the Pontiacs part ways with Kailus Green prior to last year’s AJHL trade deadline.
Hailing from Leduc, Ab, the 19-year-old Ganske is coming off his first full season in the AJHL. Ganske played 52 games for the Storm last year, scoring two goals and assisting in 14 more for 16 points.
The 5’10, 192lbs defenseman played his first five AJHL games with the Camrose Kodiaks from 2021 – 2023, before getting his first look with the Grande Prairie Storm during the 2023 – 2024 season.
In his 2023 – 2024 campaign, Ganske earned two assists in 14 games with the Storm before going on to score his first two AJHL goals, including another assist, for three points in his first five playoff games.
Prior to Ganske’s AJHL callup’s, he played for the Leduc U18 AAA Oil Kings, suiting up for 96 games and producing 11 goals and 30 assists for 41 points over the course of three seasons.
The Pontiacs are excited to welcome Cash and the Ganske family to the organization.
