Pontiacs Acquire Wilson

The Bonnyville Pontiacs have acquired Defenseman Darren Wilson from the Pickering Panthers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) in exchange for Future Considerations.

Hailing from Toronto, ON, the 20-year-old Wilson played in 56 games for the Panthers last year, producing six goals and 22 assists for 28 points.

The 6’0, 190lbs defenseman started his career playing 64 games with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens of the OJHL, before moving onto the Pickering Panthers where he played 44 games along with a five-game playoff push last season.

This will be Wilson’s first year playing in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) and 4th season of Junior A Hockey in Canada.

The Pontiacs are excited to welcome Darren and the Wilson family to the organization.
