Pontiacs are Proud to Announce Erik Donald’s Commitment to the NAIT Ooks

The Bonnyville Pontiacs are proud to announce the commitment of 21 year old defenceman Erik DONALD to the NAIT Ooks of the ACAC for the 2017/18 season.

Erik played 212 games with the Bonnyville Pontiacs between 2013 and 2018 scoring 91 points and took on a significant leadership role in the organization both on and off the ice within the Lakeland community.

“Erik DONALD has been one of our top defenseman over the past few years and his character is exceptional. As a person he has all the quality attributes and skills to make a positive impact both on and off the ice at the collegiate level. As a player Erik is a smooth skating defenseman with a great stick and who plays with grit.  Off the ice he is of solid character, he is a strong student and comes from a great family,” says head coach and general manager Rick SWAN. He has been a part of three of the best seasons in Pontiac franchise history and is leaving Bonnyville a better place. NAIT is getting themselves a quality human being and great defenseman.

The Bonnyville Pontiacs, our town and our great fans wish Erik the very best in his academic and hockey future and wish to thank him for contributing so much to our organization the past three plus seasons.

Erik DONALD becomes the 46th player since 2013/14 to play for the Pontiacs and move on to the College level.
